Inspiration
Now Playing: Marsha Nicholson
I went to the funeral for a young man who had died,
As I listened to the message and songs, I cried.
For the preacher spoke highly of the life that he led,
And the songs described perfectly what the Bible has said.
This young man was an inspiration to those that he met,
You could tell he touched many, and hasn’t finished just yet.
Many people were moved in the service that day,
By the wonderful example he has been along the way.
So eventhough his life on earth is now finished,
The testimony he left will never diminish.
The young many who touched many in a special way,
Will always be remembered, and you know him as Clay.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
What a wonderful testimony that he left for us all.
May you be surrounded by peace, comfort & strength during the days ahead.

With Love & Sympathy,
Marsha Nicholson

I hate the circumstances of meeting ya'll, but I have loved getting to know ya'll. I think that the Waycaster family is the strongest family that I know. Who else's little brother would keep the teenagers occupied by playing BINGO or putting puzzles together. Ross, you are the perfect little brother! Jill, you were actually one of the first people that I met at Ole Miss. You are such a strong person and I respect you very much. I can't imagine what this must be like for you and your family. I have only known Clay just since we started at Ole Miss but I feel like I have known him all of my life. With watching Wave Connection videos and looking at golf pictures and such, I know how many other people care about Clay too. Ross, Jill, Mr. Mitch and Mrs. Christy,(and Rachel) God has a plan in all of this!
Since I haven't been able to come to the hospital this week, I sure have missed writing in the journals. I think I am just going to start writing Clay daily letters. We really miss him and I hope that he knows how much everyone loves him. I'm sure he knows that though. I want ya'll to know that everyone is still constantly praying for miracles. We love ya'll so much and are praying for ya'll.

God's Grace and Mercy to you all
Mitch, Christy, Jill, and Ross we are in prayer constantly for your strength and God's peace. We are in prayer for Clay and for his body to heal and recover. Our thoughts have never left you this past time and you are constantly in our minds and verbal and nonverbal prayers. Our family loves you all with the love of fellow believers and the knowledge of our creator's divine plans for each footsteps of life for each one of us. Clay has already taught us so many meaningful lessons and his zest for life and hunger for the Lord's will in his own life. We are so very proud of him. We are also thankful for the believers who continue to give of their time and prayers for you all. God is real and he is best shown through His love of his children. Keep your faith strong in that He who began a good work in you all will be faithful to complete it. God's Blessing on you and on Clay. The Rumbarger's

Praying for you in Tennessee
I just wanted to let you all know that we are praying for you, even in East Tennesse! I heard about Clay from a friend at Ole Miss. Mitch and Christy, I pray for your strength, both physically and mentally. God can do miraculous things. Jill, I am praying for you as you for strength. I know how hard it is to struggle with school and day-to-day life, much less something of this magnitude. But again, God can do miraculous things. Ross, I pray for your stability too! I know that God can use you to help your family in this time! And Clay, I am praying that God will do an awesome work in your body. I believe He has a will for your life and I pray that He will reveal that to you and your family. I know God is capable and I am praying that He scoops you up in his hands and heals you!!! God Bless! Philippians 1:6

My daughter (Jenna Culpepper) is a friend of Clay's at Ole Miss. Since we've heard of his illness we've been in constant prayer for him and we've added him to the prayer list at our church in Madison. We also have people praying for him and your family as far away as Georgia. We will continue to pray for Clay and your entire family. We are praying for a complete recovery because we know that with God all things are possible.

In Christian love, Sandra Culpepper

Note to Mitch
Dear Mitch,

Our hearts have been heavy as we heard of the challenges that face Clay and your family. It is never the will of God for tragedy to come into our lives. But I have learned that God uses these opportunities to help us grow. I am reminded of a story by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow who brightened the world with such encouraging words. He experienced two great sorrows in the midst of his success. An admirer asked Longfellow how he could write so beautifully and live so vigorously in the face of these tragedies? It is said that he pointed to an apple tree that was full of colorful blooms and said, "That is an very old apple tree, but the blossoms this year seem more beautiful than ever before. That old apple tree grows a little new wood each year, and I suppose that out of that new wood that these blossoms come. Like the apple tree, I too try and grow a little new wood each year. Whatever ones age and sorrow, we must anticipate and plan for tomorrow, for our new blossoms. It calls for us to continue and grow new wood, and bloom more beautifully than before. That is our wish for you and Clay is to grow that new wood and blossom as never before. Your situation is ever so real to Ann and I as we prepare for Adam to leave for college this fall. We must love them while we can. Our love and prayers are with you and the family. May God's grace and love sustain and provide for you and Clay.

Your friend,

Butch Benson

Clay's Health
Mood:  special
Now Playing: Ross Waycaster
Clay is still in ICU and he is going strong; but we know that there is a little damage in the brain! The Doctor's are going to check on his condition in the morning at about 8:00 a.m. Please continue to PRAY for him and our family and close friends!!!!!!
PLEASE PRAY and tell everyone to get on this blog and post what ever they need to say and we will be reading it to him!!!

Here are some things that he had on his facebook!

"I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength!" Philippians 4:13"

"Never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up."

"Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing." - Abraham Lincoln

"If a man does his best, what else is there?"

About Me: I was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. I have one older sister named Jill that is a Junior at Ole Miss and one younger brother named Ross who is 13. I grew up in a Christian home going to church and accepted Christ to be my savior when I was 9 years old. Ever since then Christ has been the most important thing to me and he has helped me through all my struggles and done some awesome things in my life. My two favorite things to do are fishing and playing golf with my friends. I also love watching all sports, especially college football. Nothing beats going to the Grove and an Ole Miss football game.
